Member Commitment

We do have some expectations, but they're common sense things:

  • When the conductor is talking, don't. You need to hear what they say and - as important - so does everyone else. This also applies to making noises with your instrument, trying out the next bar or two, etc., and it also applies during performances, or when small sections of the orchestra are playing within the larger group.
  •
  • Be on time for practices, rehearsals, performances, etc. We are currently meeting every Saturday at the Benevolent Irish Society (BIS) at 582 North River Road in Charlottetown and begin playing at 10:00 a.m.  Please arrive between 9:15 and 9:45 a.m. to set up and warm up.
  • If you are missing music, ask the music librarian to send you your parts electronically.  Alternatively, another orchestra member may lend you their parts for you to make a copy.
  •  Practice at home a minimum of 10 minutes per day.
